Study object is: - pathogenesis of osteodeficiency (osteopenia and osteoporosis) in pre- and postmenopausal women; research purpose is to: - define peculiar features of osteodeficiency (osteopenia and osteoporosis) pathogeny in pre- and postmenopausal females; survey methods are: - X-ray imaging, biochemical, enzyme immunodetection, atomic-absorptive spectrometry, atomic-emissive spectrometry, statistical; novelty and results are as follows: the peculiarities of osteoporosis and osteopenia pathogenesis in pre- and postmenopausal women have been first proved, the content of bone-associated macro- and trace elements in the hair of such a contingent has been first evaluated, the interrelations among bone-associated hormones (parathyrin, calcitonin, osteocalcin, estradiol, testosterone, cortisole, insulin, triiodothyronine, thyroxin), macroelements (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium), trace elements (aluminium, cadmium, cobalt, copper, iron, lithium, manganese, lead, strontium, zinc) and activity of alkaline phosphatase, cyclic adenosine monophosphate, pro-inflammatory cytokines have been first detected, the similarities and differences of such confrontation results in menstruating and climacteric women have been first defined, and on this background the criteria allowing to predict the course of the pathologic process in certain groups of investigated persons have been first elaborated; the results have been applied: - to the practice of the rheumatologic department of Donetsk regional clinical territorial medical corporation and to the therapeutic clinics' activities in the State Institution "V.K. Gusak Institute of Emergency and Reconstructive Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" and M. Gorky Donetsk National Medical University as well as to the educational process at the pathological physiology departments of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Crimean (the city of Simferopol) and Kharkiv Medical Universities; the field of application is:- diagnostic and treatment process of gynecological, endocrinological, therapeutical and traumatological departments as well as scientific and teaching process at pathological physiology, gynecology, endocrinology and therapy departments of medical educational institutions.
