Essay

Dissertation is devoted to developing an effective and at the same time easy to use in most surgical hospitals diagnostic and therapeutic algorithm in patients with acute appendicitis. A clinical study of 437 patients. The study identified prognostic criteria, which are based on standard indicators of SIRS and developed by the authors of the scale, which provided the diagnostic phase of the algorithm in patients with doubtful diagnosis. In the therapeutic phase of the algorithm was laid way of differentiated treatment of appendicular stump, depending on the clinical and morphological forms of acute appendicitis (Patents of Ukraine for utility model) in conjunction with the proposed scheme of antibiotic therapy. The use of diagnostic and treatment algorithm gave an opportunity to significantly reduce the number of postoperative complications and thereby improve the treatment of patients with acute appendicitis and to facilitate the diagnostic phase in patients with doubtful diagnosis.
