Essay

Structural changes of DNA upon interaction with SWCNT were studied by IR spectroscopy. It was confirmed, that adenine and thymine are the places which bind with CNT in DNA/CNT interaction. CNT replace water molecules in the DNA molecule (amount of water per nucleotide are reduced from 17.2 to 10.5, however DNA still keep initial helix form). Registered changes in conformation of DNA and forming the new form with a new helix step, which may indicate that DNA wrapping around individual SWCNT. The conformational changes in BSA upon interaction with SWCNT are revealed and described.
