Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solution of the scientific and practical problem of elaboration of criteria for forensic psychiatric assessment of mental disorders in people with cancer. The thesis presents the results of the investigation of 244 patients with cancer. It was established that the incidence of mental disorders in persons with cancer reached 85.7%. Structure of mental disorders in the terminal stages of oncologic process included: disorders of consciousness (F 05) - 29,8 %; asthenic disorders (severe asthenia) (F 06.6) - 20,2 %; intellectual disorders: cognitive impairment (F 06.7) - 8,3 %, organic psychosyndrome (F 07.9) - 9,5 %, dementia (F 01-03) - 6,0 %; affective (anxiety-depressive) disorders (F 43.2) - 10,7 % and combined psychiatric disorders - 15,5 %. As a result of forensic analysis was determined that the content and structure of the inability medical criteria of persons with cancer RSTA and GT at the moment of the transaction, constitute mental illnesses which completely eliminate the ability RSTA and GT: dementia, disorders of consciousness, delusional syndrome as well as mental disorders essentially affecting the ability of RSTA and GT: organic psychosyndrome not reaching the degree of dementia, severe asthenia, combined mental disorders. In realization of FPE of persons with cancer, expert evidentiary importance in making and justifying of expert conclusions have additional neurologic, oncologic, and somato-motivational-behavioral signs. According to the study results, was proposed and implemented in a forensic psychiatric practice the algorithm of consequent expert assessment of mental disorders in patients with cancer.
