The thesis systematically investigates some problems of modern literary science about S. Beckett. The problems discussed in the thesis - poetical organization and conceptual foundation of S. Beckett's plays in 1960-1980 ("Happy Days", "Rough for Theatre I", "Rough for Theatre IІ", "Rough for Radio I", "Rough for Radio II", "Play", "Cascando", "Come and Go", "Breath", "Not I", "Footfalls", "Rockaby", "Ohio Impromptu", "What Where", "Catastrophe") - are open-ended and not researched enough nowadays despite their importance and significance. During the process of researching the author has suggested special terms - "cosmo- and antropocen-trism", "cosmo- and antroposphere". These concepts as well as adjoining concepts such as conceptions of the world and man allow to reconstruct the entire picture of the world of S. Beckett. The thesis focuses on the process of analyzing of different poetical layers of S. Beckett's late plays - chronotope, dramatic act and language, images and symbols. Beckett's human being have been singled out. The researcher has investigated specificity of interaction of cosmo- and antropospheres on the level of motive organization of S. Beckett's plays.
