Essay

The thesis presents results of investigation by means of spectroscopy methods of external infrared reflection and attenuated total reflection (ATR) for uniaxial optically anisotropic single crystals ZnO and 6H-SiC at the inserting of them in a uniform magnetic field.). It is shown that in the spectra of external infrared reflection of ZnO and 6H-SiC crystals the additional oscillations occur under conditions of the influence of a magnetic field on the crystal. Magnetoreflection effect is first registrated. The mathematical model which helps to obtain the ATR spectra of ZnO and 6H-SiC crystals in the magnetic field is developed. For the first time the excitement of a new branches in ZnO and 6H-SiC was found. Attenuation coefficient of surface polaritones was analyzed.
