Melkumova Tetyana Wolodumurivna The thesis is dedicated to the topical problems of modern linguistic - functional-stylistic differentiation of mass media speech, communicative-pragmatic potential of mass media texts, means of intensification of their expressiveness and influence. The classifications of the communicative-pragmatic functions and the stylistic expressive means got further development in the thesis. The functional and linguistic peculiarities of publicistic and informational speech are also ascertained in the research. Special attention has been paid to the system description of the communicative-pragmatic functions of the stylistic-syntactic means in the texts of different communicative types.
