Essay

The dissertation contains complex macroeconomic analysis of households functioning in transitional economy of Ukraine through the prism of their economical functions. Modern theoretical approaches to studying of households behavior have been systematized in three large groups – mainstream, behavioral economics and institutional economics.Author’s conclusion supports the methodological pluralism in studying the households behavior.Great attention is granted to the study of behavior of households under command economy and its impact on the efficiency of economic decisions of population today.
