Essay

Object of study - diabetic retinopathy. The aim- to increase the prognostic efficacy of diabetic retinopathy progression by determining the level of pro- and antiinflammatory cytokines in patients with diabetic retinopathy in different stages of the dynamics of pathological process and after panretinal laser photocoagulation. Methods – ophthalmological, fundus photography, immunological studies of cytokines, statistical methods. Equipment: slit lamp, direct ophthalmoscope, the modified retinophot, sets of reagents for quantitative determination of human interleukins. Scientific concepts are expanded that common cytokine status in patients with nonproliferative and proliferative stages of diabetic retinopathy does not depend on the severity and stage of the PRD. Refined scientific evidence about the greater activation of cytokine status in patients with diabetic retinopathy, a progressive disease course compared with the group with a stable trend in the dynamics of pathological process and after laser photocoagulation of the retina. Refined and supplemented by scientific data about the general and local activation of cytokine status in patients with PRD. The results were adopted at The Filatov Institute, Transcarpatian RCH after named A.Novak, CMPhI “ Chernigov Regional Hospital”, CI SRS” Sumsk Regional Clinical Hospital’. Sphere of use: medicine, ophthalmology.
