Turlova Y. Criminological characteristics of poaching in Ukraine and anti-poaching countermeasures

The thesis provides an integrated analysis of criminal poaching as a social phenomenon. It handles the aspects of legal protection of the animal world from poaching invasions along with the criminological outlook for the situation about criminal poaching. The research has outlined the primary anti-poaching countermeasures, proposed changes to legal norms for the purpose of enacting the liability for those violations. The author has worked out a package of social and criminological measures to prevent poaching invasions and brought up practical proposals and recommendations to improve the countermeasures taken by law enforcement and environmental agencies.
