In dissertation the deformation of contour regularities of the main transport and vent workingsare set and the actual scientific and technical problem of improving the mine workings sustainability in coal mines and reduce the costs of their exploitation is decided. Natural observations proved that the geomechanical processes, developing around a long inclined workings, manifested in the form of vertical and horizontal convergence, time-varying exponentially, whose intensity is determined by the location of mine workings in relation to the level of coal bed, which suggests the possibility of optimizing the location of of their in space in order to increase sustainability. Proved by numerical models that the intensity change of convergence , which determines the state of mine working, more sensitive to the argument of l at the location of mine working below the coal bed, which reduces operating costs for its maintenance. In this case, defined by the most rational of their position - at a distance of -7.0 m to -10.0 m below the level of coal bed. The expected economic effect from implementation of research results, obtained by reducing the volume of repairs has made 1 149.46 UAH / year per 1 running meters mine working.
