The object is peculiarities of five red current varieties in mother plantations and their propagation by stem cuttings. The purpose is to study peculiarities of pomology red current varieties in mother plantations and to improve the methods of vegetative propagation under conditions of the Right Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The methods - field method, laboratory-based method, field-laboratory method, method of mathematics and statistics. The results - efficiency of red current propagation by stem cuttings with application of NAA potassium salt was proved, terms of cutting, types of shoot and its metamerism were determined. The agrotechnical measures of propagation of red current planting material by soft and hardwood cuttings under cover were improved. Innovation - the indices of root development of Liubava, Sviatkova, Lvivyanka, Charodiyka and Jonker van Tets red current stem cuttings depending on the part of the shoot and its metamerism, terms of cutting-off and planting of stem cuttings, the influence of biologically active substance - 10% solution of alpha-naphthalene acetic acid, potassium salt (NAA potassium salt) and optimum rate of its expenditure for rooting and developing of root plants were determined for the first time. The ways and terms of cultivation of rooted cuttings were defined. Introduction - National dendrological park "Sofiyivka", as a scientific institution of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, research agrobiological station of Uman State Pedagogical University, research and production complex of Uman National University of Horticulture, in conducting courses "Pomiculture" and "Nursery gardening". Application - commercial horticulture, agrarian educational institutions.
