Butsyk R. The productivity of strawberries depending on the plantations covering, mulching of soil and fertilizing in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

An object of research - growth and fruiting of strawberry depending on covering the plantations with agro-fiber, soil mulching with film and straw and fertilizing. The purpose of research - the to increase of productivity of planting of strawberry by the improvement of elements of technology of growing (treatment of soil and fertilizer) on podzolized black soil of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods of research - field, laboratory, statistical. Theoretical and practical results - changes of phenological phases and strawberry productivity indices and the quality of the harvesting crop were studied. Changes of physical and chemical characteristics of podzolized black soils depending on the researched factors were established. The content of the main macro-elements in the strawberry leaves was shown and their removal by different parts of bushes was established. Grounding on the research the measures of soil management on strawberry plantations and the peculiarities of their fertilizing are determined. Scientific novelty - for the first time in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine the complex investigation of the elements of technology of growing strawberry on podzolized black soil at early spring covering of the plantings with agro-fiber, soil mulching with film and straw, and fertilizing on the basis of soil and leaf diagnostics was done. The change of thermal, water and nutrient regimes of soil and the temperature of above-soil air layer depending on the combination of above-mentioned agronomical practices and the productivity of plants and quality of strawberries was observed. The diagnostic indices of provision of podzolized black soil with nitrogen in strawberry plantings were detailed. Introduction degree - introduction was done in agrocultural enterprise "Obriy Sad" v. Malyi Sambir, Konotop district, Sumy region and educational-scientific production complex of Uman National University of Horticulture and in teaching the course of "Fruit growing".
