Karpez K. «Pollution and self-cleaning of Kharkiv-city stream channels»

The object of study: the constant streams of Kharkiv-city, hydrological Wednesday their respective channels and drainage river basin. The aim of study: to study self-cleaning permanent streams of Kharkiv-city. The employed methods: field, chemical, analytical, comparative and geographic, cartographic, statistical and mathematical. The innovation aspects: implemented on the basis of river basin approach and through modern means of a comprehensive study of GIS a two-pronged process of «pollution-self-cleaning», is introduced and justified by the notion of the topography-dependent factor of self-cleaning definition, improved the classification of urban elementary geochemical landscapes, defined the elements of self-purification of the hydrological environment of channels. The theoretical component of computer simulation based methodologies the topography-dependent factor of self-cleaning, the theoretical component the materials of scientific developments provide a basis for further theoretical and methodological and applied research on processes, pollution of natural purification in river basin.
