Dissertation is dedicated to complex examination of crimes and punishments in the Law of Ukrainian Hetman State 1648-1657. Social-economic and social-political prerequisites of Ukrainian statehood formation and their influence to the development of Law during the Liberation War of 1648-1657 are shown. The sources of Hetman Law in the middle of XVII century are examined and the types of crimes and punishments are disclosed. It is stated, that the sources of criminal and criminal-procedural law of that time were: Custom Law, Ecclesiastical Custom Law, Magdeburg Law, Lithuanian Statutes, Hetman Legislation, etc.
