Andrijanova O. Naval terminology of the Ukrainian language: formation stages and semantics

The research object is an aggregate of nominant units of Ukrainian naval terminology. The research aim - to find out the ways of forming and developing Ukrainian naval terminology, lexico-semantic and derivino features of Ukrainian naval terminology. The scientific novelty is in the fact that a new terminosystem has been distinguishes in the Ukrainian linguistics for the first time. Complex analysis of Ukrainian naval terminology, its developing stages, summarizing of a well know observations at different formation stages of naval terminology taking into account historical facts, have been o one in this paper. It is also should be mentioned that lexical theme groups of naval terminology have been focused in this work. Apart from this lexico-semantic phenomena topical for Ukrainian naval terminology, have been analyzed in the research work. Besides, analyzed terminology word building models productivity has been clarified in the paper and naval terms-word-combinations structural types have been characterized too. Practical value of work. The offered research can be used during the study of Ukrainian scientific terminology, at teaching of both educational "Lexicology" course and special courses from of terminology at philological faculties of Ukraine an establishments.
