The thesis is dedicated to the general theoretical analysis of problems of differentiation of international and national law-making activity in the modern context. The paper reveals nature of law-making activity, determines its struc¬ture, defines its types, formulates the notion of limits of law-making activity, provides characteristics of its main types; sets up criteria of differentiation of international and national law-making activity. The paper reveals trends towards the narrowing of spheres of national law-making regulation and the expansion of spheres of international law-making regulation; determines principles of law- making activity as main means of establishing and changing of law-making activity limits, within which the mechanism of differentiation of international and national law-making activity functions; formulates the propositions con¬cerning the improvement of the mechanism of differentiation of international and national law-making activity in Ukraine.
