Essay

Dissertation presents a new solution of the problem associated with optimizing of diagnostics of arterial hypertension (AH) and interpretation of changes of intracardiac hemodynamic in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and it's combination with COPD, based on a comprehensive study of blood pressure and echocardiographic indices, to identify relationships between the state of cardio-vascular system, sleep respiratory disorders and respiratory function parameters.Basics are data analysis of clinical and instrumental examination of 104 patients (50 patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, and 54 patients with combined pathology OSA and COPD - overlap-syndrome (OS)) and 10 healthy individuals.Based on the comprehensive evaluation of blood pressure (BP) indices, according to office measurement and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABMP), and evaluation of structural and functional cardiohemodinamics parameters (ultrasound), we found, that in patients with OSA, AH is more common, as a left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy, LV diastolic dysfunction, and systolic pulmonary hypertension, compared with the control group. In patients with OS, AH and pulmonary hypertension manifested significantly more frequent than in healthy subjects and patients with OSA.
