The object of study - the three dominant ethnic identity communities of Crimea. The subject of study - the influence of political actors and institutions in the sphere of culture on the formation of ethnic identity of the dominant communities of Crimea. Methods: a systematic approach, functional-structural analysis, operationalize of the concepts, the historical method, comparative analysis, document analysis, content analysis, expert interviews, in-depth interviews. Scientific novelty: the process of the influence of political actors in the formation of ethnic identity Russian, Ukrainian and Crimean Tatars of Crimea in the content of their cultural context of their ethnic borders are studied; a novel approach to the study of ethnic identity formation of communities of Crimea on the basis of ideas of constructivism, the Soviet theory of ethnos in the concepts and J. Bromley and L. Gumilev are formed, the influence of political actors in the formation of "political landscape" of Crimea, which is the result of the fixing of historical myths of ethnic groups represented in the Crimea and the form of monuments, place names, dates, official status of ethnic groups in the current Ukrainian legislation, was analyzed.
