Object of study - the political process in the Crimea. The subject of study - Crimean Tatar national movement as a subject of political process in the Crimea. Methods: the structural-functional and sociological approaches, the comparative-historical methods (chronological retrospective, prognostic, periodization), the comparative method, document analysis, a method of modeling. Scientific novelty: a systematic review of the national movement of Crimean Tatars as a socio-political phenomenon are conducted, the development model of Crimean Tatar national movement in modern conditions are characterized, previously unknown and little-known documentary sources (materials of national movement, archival materials) are introduced in the scientific use, the concept of "national movement ", its stages, taking into account patterns of economic, political and cultural development of the state, the characteristics of policy towards the Crimean Tatars, as well as the main development trends of the national movement of Crimean Tatars, their organizational and institutional features of the ideological and political attitudes are concretized.
