Essay

The dissertation touches upon the problem of Ukrainian dictionary for foreigners-beginners compilation. Author formulates objective principles and criteria for the selection and linguistic description of glossary. Different linguistic aspects helped to formulate and make the system analysis of main problems in this field. The results of different linguistic schools were used in the dissertation work for seeking optimal syncretical methods of the creation of such functional educational vocabulary that must represent the information about the word, including grammatical, orthoepic, lingvocultural and other characteristics.
