Essay

The object of the research is the process of the earth surface movement above the coal seams mines workings. The aim of the research is determining new patterns of the earth surface movement when increasing the coal mining depth in the Donets Coal Basin and improving computational methods. Methods used are integrated research (experimental and theoretical). The novelty lies in determining new regularities of changing the main parameters of the earth surface movement which describe the space and time distribution of its vertical movements when increasing the coal mining depth. We obtained new dependencies of the subsidence trough localization and main parameters, and behavior of surface movement in time both above the moving and shut-in production face for current conditions of coal seams mining in the Donetsk Coal Basin. Proposals on improvement of the current methods of calculating surface subsidence vertical movements and the earth surface deformation are worked out.The results of research are implemented at one of the mines in Donets Coal Basin when undermining protected objects on the earth surface. Field of application is coal-mining industry.
