Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to a bulb onion diseases and their harm studies, and to working out measures limiting their development in the conditions of the Left Bank Forest - Steppe Area of Ukraine. It is established that the main disease of onions in the period of vegetation is peronosporosis and during their conservation is a neck rot. It is the first elaboration of a short term disease appearance prediction in the Left Bank Forest - Steppe Area of Ukraine that has been used to improve the system of onion protection from the false mealy dew. Taking into account the usage of a long standing monitoring, the model of a long - term prediction of peronosporosis catching onion seeds has been worked out. Stable samples againstperonosporosis and a neck rot have been allocated the mothering forms that are used in selective process. The whole system of onion protection from diseases has been worked out in this region.
