Lavreniuk S. Methods for estimating and forecasting the availability of information in Grid-systems

Thesis for Ph.D. degree in physics and mathematics by specialty 01.05.03 - Mathematical and software of computers and systems. - V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev, 2011. The thesis is devoted to development of data availability integrated assessment methods and services in a grid system and the grid state forecasting. The proposed methods of estimation and prediction take into account functional properties of distributed systems for fairly short evaluation periods. Through a detailed analysis of the system components the characteristics have been identified with the highest impact on the data availability level. The research results have been presented in the form of methods and algorithms for optimization of grid usability. Experiments confirmed the efficiency of the developed methods of data availability level estimation for the sample grid systems. The implemented grid service software runs on SCIT-3 cluster of UAG Resource Center.
