Essay

The thesis is devoted to the complex analysis of functional, motivational and word formation peculiarities of modern informal Western Polessia anthroponimie. The anthroponymic status of a street nickname is clarified. The hierarchical structure of the Western Polessian folk and everyday anthroponymic system has been built on the basis of motivational typology. 9 motivational groups have been distinguished. These 9 motivational groups are also divided into motivational subgroups, motivational microgroups, and motivational categories; the current methods of nickname formation are described.
