The necessity of historical and educational research on the problems of formation and development of adaptive physical culture in Ukrainian educational system of children with visual impairments justify in thesis. The author's periodization developed on historical-logical and comparative analysis of the received materials. Analyzed the main trends, patterns and features of this process at different stages of social development and highlighted recommendations for improving the physical, rehabilitative, recreational and sports activities with the blind and visually impaired children in Ukraine.
