In the dissertation complex and system research of pressing questions of the criminal - executive characteristic of punishment as arrest is carried out. Sources of becoming and development of modern scientific development of the given problem in a criminal-executive science are analyzed, the concept and the contents of punishment as arrest in a context of the criminal-legal and criminal - executive characteristic are opened. The order and conditions of serving of punishment as arrest is in details considered within the limits of the criminal - executive characteristic. Subjects of execution of punishment as arrest are determined and their characteristic is given.
