Mazurets S. The pharmacognostic research of Humulus lupulus L.

Complex pharmacognostic research of leaves and cones of Hop (Humulus lupulus L.) and its four sorts (Gaidamazkiy, Klon-18, Ruslan, Slavjanka) cultivated in Ukraine was carried out for the first time. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of different groups of biological active substances of Humulus lupulus L. plant raw material and lipophilic fractions from different organs have been carried out. 15 aminoacids, 15 macro- and microelements and 11 fatty acids were identified. From Humulus lupulus L. leaves and cones 38 individual phenolic compounds were isolated. The main morpho-anatomical diagnostic characteristics of leaves and cones of sorts of Hop have been determined.The complex technology of obtaining of dry extracts has been developed. On the base of pharmacological research it has been established that extracts possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and reparative activities. The drafts of quality-control technology were developed on "The leaves of Humuli lupuli L.", "The strobile of Humuli lupuli L.", "The dry extract from leaves of Humuli lupuli L.", "The dry extract from cones of Humuli lupuli L.". The results of research were bases for working project of monograph "Hop cones," which is introduced in State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine in Addition 3.
