Essay

The object is the content and the specific political-institutional characteristics of modern trade unions. The aim is the establishment of directions and characteristics of the impact of national associations of trade unions in the European Union on political decision-making processes. The methods are approach of the systems, comparative, historical, social and cultural approach. Dissertation is devoted to researching the impact of unions on the processes of political decision-making on materials of EU countries. It is established that an important principle of interests of European trade union movement at the political level of the European community is involved in making political and situational decisions, taking into account the dynamic change of political situations and position of the European countries government and the public opinion. It is found in the study that an important problem of developing partnership between trade unions and EU's government is competition with employers. Analysis of actual manifestations of lobbying the European employers showed that they are more active than unions, have more freedom of maneuver in cooperation with the government. Also, their requirements are characterized by pragmatic and privacy features, while union's requirements are characterized by universal and concept features. Their ideas and concepts can be implemented only in a limited number of specific projects. It is considered that the trade union structure of modern Ukraine have a chance to become a real force which can intensify the political processes of European integration. Application spheres are political processes management and training courses.
