Sokur Y. Legal basis of commercial-transport business in Ukraine (based on the materials of chumak's trade in XVII-XIX centuries)

On the basis of analyzing and summarizing legal and historical sources, formation and development of legal relations in the field of Ukrainian economy such as commercial and traffic business in the period of feudalism is fully researched in the thesis for the first time. This kind of socio-economic activity of the mass was called "chumatstvo", "chumachestvo". Unwritten (legal practice) and written sources of law have been analyzed. Later with the development of capitalistic relations on our soil this legal source became the base for forming and dividing commercial and traffic laws into separate segments of industries. It's difficult to imagine the operation of modern economy without these laws today.
