Investigation objects: 2-substituted 3,3-bis(methylthio)acrylonitriles, methylene active nitriles and thioamides of cyanoacetic acid, cyanoselenoacetamid and heterocyclic systems derived from them. Objectives: synthesis of functionalized nitriles and amides of 2-chalcogennicotinic acid on the basis of 2-substituted 3,3-bis(methylthio)acrylonitriles and CH acids containing a nitrile, ester, or (seleno, thio) amide groups in the а-position in conditions of nucleophilic vinyl substitution. Methods and apparatus: organic synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, mass- spectrometry, X-ray analysis, elemental analysis. Theoretical and practical results: systematically explored the synthesis of 2-chalcogen-substituted amides and nitriles of nicotinic acid by condensation of 2-[bis(methylthio)methylene]malononitrile, ethyl 3,3-bis(methylthio)-2-cyanoacrylate, 3,3-bis(methylthio)-2-cyanoacrylamide and 3,3-bis (methylthio)-2-cyano-N-arylacrylamides with methylene active nitriles and chalcogenid amides. Preparative methods of synthesis of new condensed and uncondensed 2-chalcogen substituted amides and nitriles of nicotinic acid were developed. Novelty: Open competing processes occurring during the interaction of 3,3-bis (methylthio) acrylic nitriles with active methylene nitirilami and chalcogen amides. The degree of application: no.
