The thesis is devoted to solve the scientific problem concerning functions of motivational related words in the literary text on the material of Ukrainian literature of late XX - early XXI century. Scientific meaning of "motivational related speech" as the object of linguistic research is presented; expediency to study functions of motivational related words in a literary text (informative, text forming and expressive functions) is proved.
