Object of study: productivity of Ukrainian Meat sows and feed on them purebred and crossbred calves. Objective: to study how best to use Ukrainian Meat pigs for various combinations of weight and condition. Methods: zootechnical, laboratory, population genetic, statistical, analytical. Theoretical and practical results: the theoretical plane - updated scientific information on the productive qualities of Ukrainian meat breed pigs when exposed to various factors. In practice - found a combination of genealogical structures (lines and families) that provide the highest level of manifestation of the reproductive traits of sows Ukrainian meat breed for purebred breeding, weighing reasonably optimal condition for the realization of young obtained from sows at Ukrainian meat breed and purebred breeding boars, coupled with manufacturers of specialized beef genotypes. Novelty: first defined the components of variability in the reproductive traits of sows Ukrainian meat breed for purebred breeding, study of growth and development, feeding and meat quality of crossbred young produced by a combination of Ukrainian meat breed sows with boars of the new achievement of breeding - inbreeding species such as Duroc Ukrainian selection "Steppe" fattening up at various weight of conditions, revealed the specific features of formation of fattening and slaughter traits of young hybrid derived from a combination of Ukrainian meat breed sows with boars of Large White breed of foreign origin and the Landrace breed for fattening up of live weight 120 and 140 kg. Has been further developed to study patterns of manifestation of the reproductive qualities of Ukrainian meat breed sows for purebred breeding, depending on their familial affiliation and membership of the linear-sired producers, as well as identifying characteristics depending on the reproduction of sows on their age and season. Degree of implementation: the results incorporated into the breeding factory "Tavrian Pigs" in Kherson region. Scope of use - livestock, particularly pigs.
