Ivanchenko O. Publishing house "Siyach" in the history of Ukrainian publishing business (1917-1920)

The paper analyzes the activity of "Siyach" publishing house, which was based in Cherkasy in 1917-1920. The formation stages, as well as the activity periods were examined; the particularities of "Siyach" editorial and publishing process are in the centre of attention. The publishing repertoire of the cultural centre was characterized, the thematic palette of the publishing output and its purpose orientation were explored. The official, introductory, basic and final parts of the printed output of "Siyach" were analyzed, the expediency of every semantic structure element was substantiated, the main advantages and disadvantages of the edition design were pointed out.
