In the dissertation based on a significant layer of archival materials, various regulations in the operation of vehicles and road safety, as well as a wide range of historical and graphical sources the organizational and legal activities of the State Automobile Inspectorate in Donbas in the first decade after the region's liberation from the German fascist invaders have been studied. The attention was paid to the analysis of institutional and legal framework and functioning of the main activities of the State Automobile Inspectorate in the field of road traffic, the improvement of road transport operation and control of the accident rate on the roads in Donbas.
