The object - the process of prospective teachers' professional training; the aim - to define the influence of implementation of the developed and scientifically-grounded technology of pedagogic prognosis skills development in prospective teachers in their learning activity on the efficiency of this process; the methods - theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; the novelty - for the first time the technology of pedagogic prognosis skills development in prospective teachers in their learning activity consisting of diagnostic-motivational, organizing-contextual and reflexive-corrective stages has been theoretically grounded and experimentally checked, the essence of pedagogic prognosis skills as a personality formation allowing a person to get information about an object in advance is defined, the classification of the researched skills as well as the criteria and indices of the levels of students' pedagogic prognosis skills development have been specified; the forms and methods of pedagogic prognosis skills formation in prospective teachers in their learning activity have been analysed; the results - the teaching course " The Basics of Pedagogic Prognosis" for students of higher pedagogical educational establishments of III-IV levels of accreditation and the methodological recommendations have been worked out; the field - pedagogy
