The dissertation is devoted to the urgent problem of complex treatment of victims with isolated and combined injuries of chest. Results of the examination and treatment of 332 injured trauma of the chest were analyzed. The nature of damages, their localization and related post-traumatic injuries were determined. The mechanism of injury and their impact on the nature of injuries were studied. The conservative treatment of fractures of ribs was improved by applying external elastic compression. The ribs metaloosteosyntesis method was proposed and detailed indications for its use. A method of thoracoscopic removal of large paracostal subplevral hematomas was developed. Found a place embedded in the existing treatments for complex medical and diagnostic measures. Differentiated integrated approach to choosing therapies isolated and combined closed chest injuries contributed to the reduction of treatment terms from (22,7 ± 4,2) to (14,1 ± 3,3) days, decreasing the number of the chest complications from 22,5 % to 4,1 %.
