Makhnitskyy A. Immunocorrection in complex surgical treatment of patients with the acute abdominal sepsis

Dissertation is dedicated to the determination of effectiveness of the new invented method of the abdominal cavity lavage in combination with immunocorrective therapy in the postoperative treatment of the patients with the acute abdominal sepsis are represented in the dissertation. There were investigated the clinical manifestations, indicators of cellular and humoral immunity, cytokines and endogenous intoxication in the patients with the acute abdominal sepsys. There were made the determination of microflora of abdominal fluid of patients with the peritonitis and its sensitivity to antibiotics, and the determinations of the microbial purity of blood. In the group of patients where there was used the new method of lavage of the abdominal cavity and immunotherapy we had posittive clinical effects without the phenomena of immunosuppression. There were smaller deviations the indicators of cellular and humoral immunity and endogenous intoxication. It was shown that usage of the new method of lavage of the abdominal cavity and immunotherapy improves the efficiency of treatment and course of postoperative period of patients with the acute abdominal sepsis. Lethality of patients was lower – severe sepsis by 3.2 %, septic shock by 4.3 %. Duration of treatment decreased: sepsis by 18.4 %, severe sepsis by 32.9 %, septic shock to 22.6 % being compared with generally accepted therapy.
