Pykus A. Industrial structural shifts as a factor of economic growth

The dissertation deals with industrial structural shifts as a factor of economic growth. Evolution of different points of view on essence and components of economic dynamics, evaluation of economic growth and quantitative measurements of industrial structural shifts have been studied. Theoretical and methodological grounds for interconnection between structural shifts and economic growth are presented. Tendencies of industrial structural shifts and economic growth in developed and developing economies are determined. The role of competition and innovations as preconditions for productive industrial structural shifts is outlined. Tendencies and results of industrial shifts in Ukrainian economy are summarized for the independence period. Recommendations as to the ways of improving public growth policy and perspectives of their realization in Ukraine are presented. Industrial priorities of national economic development strategy in Ukraine are developed.
