In the work a new concept of the mechanism of functioning and regulation of the consumer market under social and economic conditions is grounded and applied. The influence of processes of consumption on dynamics of development of market facilities is determined. The conceptual and categorial apparatus of the economic science is expanded through adding the treatment of the concept "consumer market". The basic tendencies in development of modern global economy are revealed. The place and role of the consumer market in a global economic system is determined. It is proved that the development of the consumer market in Ukraine has its specific features connected with the crisis phenomena and integration of the state into the international market space.
