The work aimed at the pharmacognostic and chemico-toxicological investigation of Veratrum album, Veratrum lobelianum, Veratrum nigrum, development modern methods of extraction, qualitative and quantitative detection of hellebore alkaloids; phytochemical research of rhizomes with roots and leaves of Hellebore genus species, growing in Precarpathian region, has been carried, main anatomico-diagnostic features of the leaves have been experimentally found out; offered a blueprint of chemico-toxicological analysis of the biologic materials for the presence of hellebore alkaloids.
