Essay

The research deals with the theory of experience in the context of Thomistic metaphysical anthropology. It studies the complete concept of experience of personality in two main meanings: experience of cognition and experience of actions. The integrative role of theory of experience describes the structure of personality being. It also analyzes the phenomenal and ontological structure of personality. In the dissertation is also analyzed anthropological theories of Max Scheler, Helmuth Plessner and Arnold Gehlen in the tradition of The Lublin School of Philosophy; metaphysical conceptions by Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas; methodology of realistic phenomenology. The dissertation investigates the connection between Aquinat's ontological principles of "act-potency" and the basic aspects of Karol Wojtyla's personality act theory. Hereby, metaphysical anthropology considerate the Wojtyla's theory of personality structure of Self-Determination. The whole theory of experience working out an unknown in Ukraine Thomistic metaphysical anthropology that offers to describe the structure of experience using the main principles of metaphysical ontology.
