Essay

The object of research is the process of formation and realization of state support and stimulation for social and economic development in problem regions of the country. The purpose of research is development of theoretical and methodical positions and practical recommendations on improvement of the state support for social and economic development in the regions on the targeted programs basis. The methods of research are system analysis and synthesis; abstract and logical method; systematic and logical method; graphical method; method of entropy; economic and mathematical modeling; matrix approach; cognitive modeling. Methodical approach to the definition of the problem regions in the country that based on the application of the matrix approach to the positioning of regions; guidelines on improving of the development and implementation mechanism of targeted programs for development of problem regions in the country stimulation; the methodical approach to assessment of the economic and social development of the regions in the country; methodical support of the problems reasons diagnostics in the social and economic development of Ukraine regions are got further development. Methodological support on formation of the monitoring system for implementation of the support targeted programs for problem regions; classification of support target programs for problem regions by applying the method of the hierarchical classifications constructing are improved. Scientific results are used by Main Department of Economy of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (certificate № from ).
