Toma N. Semantical and stylistic parameters of abstract vocabulary functioning in the works of Petro Mohyla.

The dissertation is devoted to investigation of abstract vocabulary which is used in the works of the well-known Ukrainian thinker Petro Mohyla. System relations within Ukrainian abstract vocabulary items of the first half of the 17th century are examined, its composition and structure are determined, origin and history of abstract notion lexemes functioning are analyzed. The most important lexical and semantic microfields are investigated: «Feelings and emotions», «Spirituality», «Morality», «Mind», «Character traits», «Physical condition», «Social life». Dynamics of abstract lexemes semantics evolution is studied, historical prospect is determined, semantic processes, which accompany development of abstract vocabulary of the 17th century are analyzed.
