Essay

The aim of the research has been to reduce the number of cases of perinatal pathology by way of improvement of obstetric management at 41 weeks' gestation. As the result of the research done there have been identified the main ante-intranatal risk factors for fetal damage in case of post-term pregnancy. Perinatal consequences of selecting a conservative awaiting tactics after the 41st week of gestation have been studied. The morphofunctional state of spiral arteries of the uterus in central and peripheral areas of the placental bed of the uterus in case of non-complicated full-term pregnancy has been assessed. The role of atheromatous affection of peripheral spiral arteries of the uterus in the fetal distress development after the 41st week of gestation has been proved.
