Morozova A. The Ukrainian terminological microsystem of obstetrics and gynecology: structural-semantic and word-formation aspects

The object is a terminological microsystem of obstetrics and gynecology, namely terms (about 3500 names); the purpose consists in making complex structural-semantic and word-formation research of obstetrics and gynecology in the Ukrainian language; the research methods which have been used is are descriptive method, a sample, a theoretical analysis, a structural-semantic method, an attributive method, a componental method, a comparative method, a quantitative method; the novelty of research consists in it not only the layer of a terminological microsystem of obstetrics and gynecology is separated, but also its complex analysis is made and recommendations which streamlinings and rationing of terminology with the future forecast of its development concern are offered; the results of the dissertation have shown that the layer of terminology of obstetrics and gynecology has been allocated, the lexical and grammatical structure of terminology is investigated, specificity correlations is presented and system communications of terminology, the structural and word-formation analysis of terminology is made, the basic models of formation of terms are revealed, attempt of streamlining and rationing of terminology of obstetrics and gynecology with the forecast and recommendations; the research branch are terminology, lexicography and general linguistics.
