Ulyanchenko O. System of personages in M. Zoshchenko's prosaic works: typology, poetics, dynamics.

The peculiarities of the personage system in M. Zoshchenko's prosaic works have been identified in the thesis. The typology and dynamics of M. Zoshchenko's personages from the early to the late periods of the writer's creative work have been specified. The poetics peculiarities, structural dominants and personage functions in M. Zoshchenko's works of different periods have been determined. The influence of the personage typology and poetics upon the genre specific features of the writer's works and his individual style have been analyzed. The thesis highlights the influence of classical literary traditions ("little man", "superfluous man", etc.) upon the artist's personage system. M. Zoshchenko's artistic innovation in the sphere of image creation, and approaches of the artist to the author's image and peculiarities of author's mask use have been developed. The personages and author's images in M. Zoshchenko's fiction have been reviewed in the context of interaction between realism and modernism, genre diffusion and development of style trends of the period.
