Kulhavets K. Activity of internal affairs authority in the western regions of USSR against Ukrainian armed underground in 1944-1950: historical and legal research.

Dissertation is devoted to historical and legal research of Soviet internal affairs authority against the Ukrainian armed underground, led by OUN and UPA in the western regions of USSR during 1944–1950. Based on systematic analysis of legal departmental documents, archival sources, some of which were first introduced into scientific circulation, historical, legal and other kinds of Ukrainian, Russian and foreign literature processes were clarified which were associated with the formation, development and activity of Soviet internal affairs authority in the western regions of USSR, also characteristics of multifaceted activities, primarily special role of internal affairs authority in the fight with Ukrainian nationalist resistance movement led by OUN and UPA, in 1944–1950 were analyzed.
