Theoretical and methodological foundations of a sociological study of formation and development factors of socialization and adaptation to the conditions of the students stay in another country are analyzed. The content of the concepts of socialization, environment of social impact is clearified. The reasons for the differences of socialization of foreign students from the students of Ukrainian nationality are defined and justified. The reasons of potential victimization of foreign students in the Ukrainian society are defined.
