Object of study: regimens of monitoring of asthma control in children. The aim of the study. Optimize the control of asthma in school-age children through the application the once-daily regime of supplementation with basic therapy with an average degree of severity of disease. Methods: clinical, immunological, cytological, allergological, instrumental, biochemical, sociological, statistical. Studies of 118 children of school age who suffer from persistent bronchial asthma of average gravity on clinico-anamnestic data (frequency of day and night symptoms, administration of rapid-acting inhaled b2-adrenomimetics, number of hospitalizations caused by aggravation of the disease, tolerance to physical strains), questionnaires for the level of control and quality of life, laboratory and instrumental criteria (immunological blood indices, nonspecific hypersensitivity of the bronchi, biochemical indices of expiratory air condensate, atopy markers) made it possible to reveal specific features of the course of the disease, determine a diagnostic value of the proposed criteria for verification of the controlled in children. On the basis of dynamic complex assessment of alternative regimens which diminish the scope of antiinflammatory treatment for bronchial asthma of average gravity in children of school age it has been demonstrated that by diminishing the scope of controlled therapy a once-daily administration of inhaled glucocorticosteroids is as much effective and, by some criteria, superior to the standard scheme for preventive treatment of the disease.
